Shiva Temple – NAVARATRI CELEBRATIONS – 2023

Shiva Temple Manchester cordially invites everyone to the Navaratri celebrations for the month of October 2023.
To celebrate the Devi, we are planning a special Vilakku (lamp) pooja.
The opportunity to perform the Vilakku Pooja will be offered to a maximum of 50 ladies on a first come first serve basis.
Please register your interest by filling in the Google Form, all the registrants are expected to contribute a minimum of £11 towards the costs for covering the expenses.
Siva Prathan Gurukkal will lead the Pooja, and the devotional bhajans will be sung in praise of the Devi.
Prasadham will be served after the Pooja.
Please bring the following items if you want to take part in Vilakku Pooja
1. Kamakshi Vilakku (lamp),
2. Oil and Wicks for the lamp,
3. A bunch of flowers,
4. 2 trays (one for keeping the lamp and other for Pooja items),
5. 1 pound coin
People who want to attend the Pooja but not want to take part in the Vilakku Pooja are also very welcome. Due to space considerations, we can only permit a max of 300 people, so we will be operating on first come first served basis.
